Beloved, now more than ever we need to abide in Christ and His Word for they are Spirit and Life; they are divine weaponry from God for us to counter every lie of the enemy; they are for us to tell between good and evil, what’s of God and what’s not; they are a mirror for us to reflect our lives upon; they are for the renewal of our mind; they are for our washing and sanctification; they are godly seeds for the Holy Spirit to work with to bring about the transformation in our lives from within that the Lord so desires.

The Lord our God by His Word, spoke all things into creation with the exception of mankind. He exalts His Word above all His Name (Psalm 138:2); Heaven and earth will pass away, but His Words will by no means pass away (Matthew 24:35) and His Word shall not return to Him void (Isaiah 55:11). This is how powerful and important His Word is, by building our lives upon His Word, we will never be shaken nor moved for it is an everlasting firm foundation.

The Word of God reveals His personality, His ways, His goodness and faithfulness, His promises and desires towards us, it helps us in our walk with Him by building trust in who He is and having faith in His abilities and powers. We are to partake of His Word until we become one with His Word, for it to become an inseparable part of us as we seek to abide in Christ and He in us by His Holy Spirit. In our individual relationship with the Lord, His Word forms a big part of it and His Holy Spirit plays an equally crucial role for the Word of God is the Sword of the Spirit, it is Him who brings to life the Word!
