Beloved, the works of the devil has already been destroyed more than 2000 years ago by the Lord Jesus. The devil and his kingdom of darkness has already been judged, there’s no repentance nor redemption for them and their fate of eternal damnation in hell is sealed, awaiting their appointed time. Therefore, while they are still roaming around in this fallen world, they are bent on doing as much damage to peoples’ lives with the aim to cause them to end up in hell, which wasn’t created for humans in the first place (Matthew 25:41-46).

The Lord our God did not leave us helpless nor to face our unseen adversaries alone, He is with us and for us. He has given us His Word (Truth & Promises), His Holy Spirit (Wisdom & Power), His Love and Salvation (Faith & Hope), and the Name and Blood of Jesus, all which are to help us to be victorious overcomers and more than conquerors through Christ Jesus in our life.

The battle always begins with our soul (mind, will and emotions), therefore we have to be careful of what we expose ourselves to; the media (shows/films etc) that we watch, the music that we listen, the things we read, the things we think about, the things we do etc, these are all points of infiltration by our unseen adversaries to affect or influence us negatively. Very often, our unseen adversaries like to plant thoughts and make it feels like our own thoughts, if successful, then they can gain access or control to bring forth the harm or damage that they so desire. Both believers and unbelievers are subjected to such infiltration, the difference being that believers should have the discernment, resistance and power to reject such thoughts in the first place. Thus, it is very important to keep our thought life in check, rejecting every ungodly thought, demolishing every high thing that exalts itself above the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ.

We cannot be driven by our soul (mind, will and emotions) but rather we have to be led by the Holy Spirit. He (the Holy Spirit) who is in us is greater than he (the enemy, evil/demonic spirits) who is in the world! We have to walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh, in order to live out the victorious life that we have in Christ!
