Beloved, Christ Jesus came to His own and was rejected. His rejection by His own people resulted in the extension of God’s saving grace to all of humanity, this was already all worked out as part of God’s plan for our salvation.

The Lord our God had given His promise to Abraham before Israel ever came to be and He made good His promise to him through the virgin birth, ministry, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus. Our Lord Jesus is God’s very own Cultivated Olive Tree and the True Vine, which He planted in Abraham from whom came Isaac then Jacob (Israel), then King David and finally came Lord Jesus - the Root of Jesse, the Saviour of the World, the Only Mediator between God and mankind. The fulfilment of this promise is sealed with the outpouring of His Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost, and since then it has not ceased to baptise and fill all His children till the very end of the last days. Similarly, with the preaching of His Gospel/Good News to the whole world till the end of the age.

We are saved by Grace through Faith, believing and trusting in the Lord our God and His Word always, this is how we remain grafted in. Our believe in the Lord must be coupled with the appropriate actions (if not its just dead faith); repentance, dying to self, yielding to His Holy Spirit, abiding in Him and obeying Him, being some of the fruits of our salvation that must show forth!
