Beloved, this is the traditional chinese character for Righteousness: 義 (yi). This character is made up of two main parts; the top part being the character: 羊 (yang), which means Lamb, while the bottom being the character: 我 (wo), which means Me or I.

Marvelously, this character was formed with the Lamb (羊 - yang) covering on top of Me/I (我 - wo), what a great illustration of Jesus Christ the Perfect Lamb of God covering us of our sins that we are found in the Righteousness of God in Him when we are born-again! When the Lamb (羊 - yang) part is removed from the character for Righteousness (義 - yi) then its only left with the character Me or I (我 - wo), imagine having to face God Almighty alone on the Day of Judgement because one is without the covering of Jesus Christ, the Perfect Sacrificial Lamb of God.

Self-righteousness and good works based on our own efforts can never make us right with God nor bring us back to Him, to do so is only telling God that neither His help nor His salvation is needed, which is a form of pride and sin against Him. As believers, the good works we do are out of Love and Faith in God, to share the Good News about His Son, Jesus Christ, wanting others to also receive and share in this same everlasting love of God, experiencing it for themselves and be reconciled to God forever. This is the New Life we now live, covered by the Blood of the Lamb and allowing the Son of God to live in and through us to fulfil God’s will, plans and purposes for each of our lives!
