Beloved, who, what or where do you put your hope in? To put our hope in anyone, anything or anywhere else other than in the Lord our God Himself will most certainly end up in disappointment, as this is still a fallen world and all that is in it is temporal and fading away. The Lord our God never changes, He is the same yesterday, today and forevermore; He and His Kingdom are timeless and eternal. God is His Word, His Word is Him, there is not difference between God and His Word. Heaven and earth (as we know now) will pass away, but His Word will by no means pass away, His Word shall not return to Him void and He exalts His Word above all His Name. Our hope in Him is a living hope and we can certainly trust in Him!
God is Good, Faithful and True, He desires His best for each of our lives to be fulfilled here on earth as it is in heaven. Truly, it is the enemy and his demons/evil spirits that are causing the discrepancies that we may be facing in the various aspect of life (health, finances, relationships etc), their fate is sealed for eternal damnation, they are not redeemable unlike us. Therefore, they will try to infiltrate our lives via our soul (mind, will, emotions) by working through people in our circles or through our environment, and if they are able to gain entry then they can affect us. The Word of God warns us to be sober and alert, to submit ourselves to God and resist the devil, to flee from sin and evil, to pursue righteousness and walk in repentance, to walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh, these are some of the ways that we can prevent the enemy from gaining a foothold or any legal rights in our lives to affect us in any way.
Remember, the Lord our God did not leave us helpless here in this fallen world, He will never leave us nor forsake us. He has given us His Son, His Spirit, His Word and everything needed for life and godliness. Are we receiving them? Are we surrendering ourselves to His Lordship and allowing His Spirit and Power to manifest in our lives? Are we allowing Him to work through with us His plans and purposes for our lives? Are we speaking forth words of life and blessings instead of death and curses over our lives or situations? Are we yielding ourselves to the Holy Spirit, letting Him have the reins over our tongue by speaking/praying in tongues? So that He can align us with God’s will and bring about the fulfilment of God’s will in our lives, and also transforms us to who God has created us to be, growing from glory to glory in the likeness of our Lord Jesus Christ!
